MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC
-
Our clinic specializes in Immunopsychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine.
Immunopsychiatry is an approach to mental health that takes into consideration how the brain (and nervous system) is connected to the immune and endocrine (hormonal) systems. The stress response causes changes in the brain and body through inflammation and chemical messengers. Stress can suppress immune function, making individuals more susceptible to illnesses.
Whatever goes on in human life is psychosomatic or somatopsychic. – Benjamin B. Wolman
The mind and body are in constant and dynamic interaction. Advances in the science of psychosomatic medicine have demonstrated that stress can present with both mental and physical symptoms. At Aaram Health, we seek to alleviate these symptoms at their roots through deep and thoughtful diagnosis and treatment.

Stress can cause changes in mood, energy, & perception.Toxic stress and traumatic experiences cause physical and mental symptoms: mental health is physical health.
The Aarām Mission
☤
Aaram Health is a values-based care organization and outpatient medical clinic for treating problems with mental health. Over half of all adults will experience issues with mental health during their lifetime.
Our mission is to transform the mental health commons in the communities we work in, one patient at a time, by meeting them where they are.
At Aaram Health, we use time, depth, and safe medical interventions to work with the course of nature to treat the root causes of issues that affect a patient’s mind.
What We Treat
𓄠
Medical treatment at Aaram Health targets symptoms that emerge from acute and chronic stress that affect a person’s vital force.
Common presenting symptoms can include feeling anxious, numb, worried, or burnt out. Physical symptoms can include muscle tension, fatigue, digestive issues, or increased heart rate.
Often times, these symptoms are labeled as disorders of Anxiety, Mood, or Trauma/Stress. We treat the person and their symptoms–not the diagnosis– with the goal of maximizing flourishing and minimizing harm.
Who We Treat
𓀤
We take care of adults of all walks of life living in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Ohio.
We have a personalized approach for populations that may be exposed to unique stressors:
Frontline Workers
Athletes (Sports Psychiatry Program)
Artists/Creatives
Immigrants to the United States
Survivors of Abusive Environments
Coping with Medical Illness, Cancer, or Postpartum Course

We are all self-aware beings having a mortal experience.
Stressful life experiences and the external environment causes all living things to carry strain. This state of imbalance in the body from life stress generates suffering and emotions of fragmentation: tension, despair, shame, and grief.
The goal of our treatment is to advance health and flourishing by re-generating balance in the neural, endocrine, and immune systems. Mental health recovery calms the inflammation and over-activation in these systems. Patients can discover an improved sense of meaning, self-understanding, and mental equilibrium.
We live in an age of anxiety stemming from crisis: social, political, and ecological. The healing process from treatment at Aaram Health provides greater stability and perseverance through life’s chaos and periods of uncertainty and change.
